Entry
Entry is limited to 48 players and costs £50 (£40 entry +£10 registration). There will be a Consolation and Last Chance as well as a Friday night Warm-up (£5 no reg pay on the night), Saturday Consulting Doubles (£10 no reg) and an 8-player Super Jackpot if there is enough demand (£125).
We hope this will become a regular event in the UK Backgammon calendar so please come and join us so you can say you were there when it all began!

Details
The tournament will begin on the evening of Friday January 20 with a £5 warm up event starting at 8pm, 3-point games.
Main Tournament
- Swiss 5 x 7 pt qualifier on Saturday (21st) starting at 11 am.
- Top 16 Knockout plus Consolation and Last Chance Tournaments on Sunday (22nd).

Format
Please register Friday evening or between 10am and 10.45am on Saturday morning.
Play will start at 11am.
On the Saturday there will be a 5-round Swiss qualifying tournament of 7 point matches with the top 16 players qualifying for the finals on Sunday. Likely a playoff for players on 3 points (depending on final entry numbers).
Non qualifiers will be automatically entered in the consolation.
Tournament will be clock preference for all matches.
The Main finals will be 9-point games for the last 16 and quarters, 11-point games for the semis and final.
The consolation matches will be 5-point games. (7-point final)
Last Chance matches will be 3-point games. (5-point final)
Optional prize pools will be available for the Main (£10, £20 and £30).
Pool money will be split 2/3 to winner of pool, 1/3 to runner up.
There will be cash prizes for the winners & runners up of the Main, Consolation and Last Chance and the semi-finals of the Main & Consolation.

- 100% return of optional side-pools
There will also be trophies for the winners and runners up.

Our venue is a beautiful boutique hotel, conveniently locate on Glasgow’s Southside and just 10 minutes from the city centre. Set in a stunning location with beautiful views over Queen’s Park, Number 10 Hotel affords spacious and stylish interiors that effortlessly blend contemporary design with the original Victorian features.
Our tournament will be based in the Pavillion in the hotel’s peaceful garden.
